Feeder Fishing For barbel

A basic feeder rig for barbel

(cage, blockend or openend feeders)
 

This basic feeder rig for barbel is suitable for most types of feeders and should be used for small to medium carp.

You will need:

1. Medium swivel.

2. Rubber shock bead.
3. Small quick change link. 
4. Cage, block end or open end feeder.

5. Hooklink 3lb to 6lb depending on your main line.

6. Hooks, Size will depend on your chosen bait and hooklink.  

Pass your main line though the eye or swivel on the feeder and then though a rubber shock bead and tie on your swivel using a blood knot. Then make up your hook link, start with around 3 foot of hooklink and tie your chosen hook to one end then tie a quick change link to the other end. Connect the quick change link to the empty eye of your swivel and your ready to go.
